Com |
The
M.Com. department has been commissioned under the aegis
of the Al-Ameen
Educational Foundation a movement dating
back to 1966. Authored by the venerable Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed
Khan, this foundation aims to conduce national development
by enhancing educational standards, socio-economic status
and the health of the weaker sections of society.
In relentless pursuit of this objective, the foundation
has established, in 3 decades, over 130 institutions
in the spheres of Education, Banking, Law, Medicine,
Engineering, Arts, Science, Management and Commerce
Presently, there are upwards of 40,000students enrolled
for various programme in these institutions.
The M.Com. program has been initiated for harnessing
youth to meet the seemingly endless requirement for
business Executives, worldwide. |

M.
Com. Is a Post Graduate Program affiliated to the Bangalore
University. It is a 2year program spread over 4 semesters.
This program bridges the gap between business studies
& the requirement of industry. |

| Cyber center and Lab
Facility for M. Com. – |
Recognizing
the importance of plentiful practical exposure to computers,
Al-Ameen
has established a well equipped cyber center with an
independent server, and ready access to the information
highway. All workstations are linked to a Local Area
Network, so as to speed up communication and resource
sharing. Facilities like Internet and E-mail, which
will enable communication with other academic and research
institutes around the world, are available here. |

| Library Facilities
– |
The
M. Com. Department at Al-Ameen
is a bibliophile’s dream come true
with scores to tomes on business and other allied subjects
as well. Back issues of leading computer journals-Indian
as well as international, are also available. The library
keeps open form 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Apart form the
large number of books and periodicals, the library are
neatly catalogued and every bit of information is computerized,
facilitating easy usage of the library facility by students
and faculty. |

| Attendance Stipulations
- |
Attendance
is compulsory. Absences, if any, must be approved by
the concerned faculty member. Students are expected
to be punctual to the classes. Late comers are not permitted.
90% attendance is compulsory for the students to be
allowed to take semester exams.
Workload of students (inclusive of
classes, reading, term papers and project work) will
be in excess of 70 hours per week. Students should brace
themselves for an 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. study culture. |

:- Each paper is of 100
marks 80 marks are meant for University Examination
and 20 marks for internal assessment. |

| Why
Internal Assessment ? |
An
in- house function, it is aimed at continuously
supervising student’s performance. Intermittent
class tests, assignments, seminars and project
works are used to adjudge students’ performance
in the course of a semester. Students are provided
with feedback so that they can perform at their
best in the university exams 20% of marks in each
paper are assigned for internal assessment. |
