ABOUT THE COLLEGE UNIT

In order to boost the morale of the cadets and make NCC interesting and enterprising the college unit conducts the following activities exclusively for the NCC cadets on regular basis

Sports (Kabbadi, Volley ball) Cultural (Singing , Skit) Literary (Essay writing, debate) Military Subjects (Drill, Map reading) Separate sports competition for girl cadets(Throw ball,100 m race)

History

NCC was introduced in 1968 with the cadet strength of 100.

Objectives

To develop leadership qualities with an overall development of the cadets To inculcate the trait of community service among the cadets To train the cadets join the Armed Forces To prepare the cadets to represent the college unit and the battalion at the Republic Day Parade.

NCC Day Celebrations

Our college unit celebrates NCC Day every year and distributes prizes to the winners of the sports, cultural, literary and Military subject competitions. Col.Rajender Singh graced the occasion and gave away the prices to the winners.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES :

Cycle expedition was conducted from 08 Nov, 2007 to 11 Nov, 2007. Route : Bangalore -Savanadurga - Bangalore As a part of the expedition, the following activities were also held at Savanadurga:

Rappling River Crossing Cave Trekking Rock Trekking

Additional Activities :

The college hosted ANOs conference in the seminar hall of the campus on 13 Aug, 2007. All the ANOs of 3KAR BN attended the conference . It was presided over by Col.Rajender Singh,Commanding Officer, 3KAR BN.

Expansion Activity

Based on the performance of our college unit, the Commanding Officer of 3 Kar BN NCC was pleased to :

Increase the cadet strength from 80 to 100 Allot a separate unit to Al-Ameen school which would be the feeding institution for Al-Ameen college

Parasailing

Our College Contingent took part in the parasailing expedition at Hosakote on 15 Dec ,2007.
