Blood Donation: About 100 students donated blood at Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology & other hospitals.
National service scheme camp for 10 days at Kattigenhalli of Hoskote Tlk.
Annual science exhibition for creating awareness for general public for three days from 22.2.2008 – 24.2.2008.
On the lines of USA INTEL – ISEP Science fair with research paper presentation for high school & PUC students. This idea has been adopted by Sarva Siksha Abhyan Dept. of Education Govt. of Karnataka for popularization of science.

Student Feedback
Feedback from students was taken for all classes viz B.A, B.Sc & B.Com to know the weakness and strengths of the teachers and to make corrective measures to make teaching more effective & purposeful.

A Committee of three faculty members & Principal was constituted. The committee interacted with individual teachers and suggested corrective measures for enhancement of good work.

Financial Aid for students
About 100 students were given admission under total freeship. Apart from this about 100 students were given scholarships, given by Al-Ameen scholarship committee.
 
Performance in sports activities
The College organized and sponsored three day, 43rd Bangalore University intercollegiate Athletic Meet during September 2007, in which 115 colleges participated.
 
Athletics
The College Athletic team won for the 22nd consecutive year the championship in the Bangalore University intercollegiate Athletic meet.
 
Foot Ball
The College Foot ball team won the following intercollegiate tournaments
Bangalore University intercollegiate Foot ball tournament.
Christ College intercollegiate Foot ball tournament.
St. John’s Medical College Foot ball tournament.
Runners up in Karnataka state Foot ball tournament organized by Karnataka State Foot ball Association and Rotary Club, Indira Nagar.
 
Volley Ball
The College Volleyball team won the following championship :
Karnataka State Volley Ball Federation Intercollegiate Championship.
Bangalore inter University championship.
Christ College championship.
St. John’s Medical College championship.
Runners up in All-India Intercollegiate Volley ball tournament organized by Jain institutions.
students of our College were selected to represent University teams in the interuniversity competitions.

Histopathological study of Gerbil – for the effect of Naja naja envenomation and a review of the Naja Naja venom for medicinal use through “Biotechnological methods and its Biochemical action” at National conference organized by Adarsha College at Town Hall, Bangalore (30-31 Oct 2007) Moula, Juniad & Irfan presented the papers.

Biodiversity and conservation of feathered victims – Tyota alba (barn owl) in and around Bangalore city in response to urbanization, at National conference organized by ANJAC and CSIR at Sivakasi, TN, (22-24 Jan 2008). Zameer, Moula Mustafa & Mohd Irfan bagged 1st prize for the poster.

Biodiversity and conservation of snakes in Yelhanka Lake, Bangalore at National conference organized by VV Pura, Bangalore (Feb 2008) Zameer, Idrees, Meraj, Khader bagged 1st prize for the poster

Histopathological changes in Rattus rattus, post Russell’s viper envenomation at National conference organized by VV Pura, Bangalore (Feb 2008). Firdouse Anjum, Sadiya presented the papers.

A team of students lead by Prof. Rahmat Ataaz bagged prizes in National level conferences held in Shiv Kashi, Tamil Nadu and also at V.V puram College Bangalore.

Dr. Najma Banu HOD of Botany lead a team of 6 students presented a research paper at National conference organized by SJRC College Bangalore.

The Dept. of Botany presented a research paper at Aquatic Fungi of Fresh water at National seminar.

Ms. Victoria peter HOD of Microbiology & Biotechnology of under graduate degree courses lead a team of faculty consisting of Mr. Omer Farooq, Ms. Ayesha Siddiqua & Ms. Nazia along with students presented a research paper at National level conference organized by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Kuvempu University, Shimoga.

Dr. R. Mushtaq Ahmed, Vice-Principal & HOD of Commerce presented a paper in National seminar on Higher Education, conducted by Garden City College, Bangalore.

Prof. Mohamed Javeed, Principal & Dr. R. Mushtaq Ahmed, Vice Principal were appointed as UGC expert committee members for selection of Minor research project and UGC sponsored seminars.
